What we do?
The regional Programs Directorate implements marine and airport policy and delegated programs in Quebec, in partnership with clients, with a goal of building a modern transportation network.
Responsabilities
- Transfer of airport facilities under the National Airports Policy (port transfer is the responsibility of the Port Commercialization Division
- Management of non transferred airport and port facilities in a secure, safe, efficient and environmentally friendly manner.

Port Operations and Real Property Management
What we do?
The Port Operations and Real Property Management unit implements a program covering operation, maintenance, capital investment, real property management, safety and security of non-transferred and remote ports in the Quebec Region. In addition, the unit provides assistance, services and technical advice in the area of ports.Services

Funded Programs and airports Operations
What we do?
The Funded Programs and Airport Operations unit manages airport financial assistance programs and ensures that Transport Canada owned airport facilities in Quebec are managed safely.
Services
Management of the Airports Capital Assistance Program (ACAP)
Management of airport operation contracts for the Lourdes de Blanc Sablon, Waskaganish, Wemindji, Schefferville and Eastmain airports
Management of contribution agreements to cover operating deficits at the Chevery, Kuujjuaq, Havre St Pierre and Natashquan airports
Management and operation of the Baie Comeau, Magdalen Islands and Sept Iles airports.

Environmental Affairs
What we do?
The Environmental Affairs unit is mandated to offer a full range of environmental management services for all of the region's activities and facilities, in keeping with Transport Canada's sustainable development policy and environmental management system.
Services
- Environmental project management for the Programs group Expert consulting services on environmental issues for the Programs group (interpretation of laws and regulations, recommendations to the regional office, staff and clients on any environmental issue...)
- Internal and external awareness of environmental issues
- Integration, maintenance and updating of the environmental management system for all departments
- Participation in review and continuous updating of the regional management plan
- Creation and implementation of an environmental monitoring and assessment program for regional airport, port and harbour facilities and site operations to ensure compliance with legislation and standards.
