Environmental Management

The Environmental Management Branch focuses on protecting the natural environment and achieving a more sustainable transportation system in Canada. Transport Canada’s National Environmental Management System helps us make sure we comply with environmental laws such as the Canadian Environmental Protection Act.  The National Environmental Management System is made up of three Environmental Management programs: Contaminated Sites, Environmental Assessment and Environmental Protection.
