Aircraft Evaluation Inspections
The Aircraft Evaluation Group assesses inspection schedules that manufacturers and aircraft operators provide for the inspections required for aircraft or aircraft products.
The principle types of inspections that the AEG are engaged in are:
- The validation of maintenance procedures for a product manufacturer,
- Ensuring that an aeronautical product meets established standards through sampling and teardown
- The acceptance of the Instructions for Continued Airworthiness of a new aeronautical product,
- Type design examinations of ICAs provided by foreign aviation interests for compliance with the Canadian Aviation Regulations
