Rotorcraft Standards

The Rotorcraft Standards Unit contributes to aviation safety by developing Subparts 702, 703 and 704 of the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs), as well as the relevant standards and guidance material, and by participating in the activities associated with the successful delivery and maintenance of the CBA program. These activities include: participation in working groups pertaining to rotorcraft issues; national and regional regulatory exemption consultation and formulation; operational evaluations of new rotorcraft and simulators; participation in both ground and airborne icing issues and programs; and consultation and sharing of ideas with the other operational standards programs.
