Airline Standards

The Airline Standards Unit contributes to aviation safety by developing and maintaining Subpart 705 of the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs), and its applicable standards and guidance material, with the participation of the industry. The unit also includes coordination with other regulatory bodies, such as the United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), participation in the development of standards and recommended practices with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and participation in international working groups on specific programs.
